High transparency and chemical resistance
Spectrum Premium PETG filament is a material based on poly(ethylene terephthalate) subjected to the glycolation process. Elements made using this material are characterized by a high share of the crystalline phase, which makes it possible to achieve an effect close to transparency with a small number of external contours of additively manufactured elements. A very important advantage of PETG is its virtually zero shrinkage coefficient and low moisture absorption compared to other thermoplastics used in FDM/FFF 3D printing.
Other properties of Spectrum PETG include good creep resistance under constant load conditions. This is possible thanks to the connection between the layers of the applied material. This results in much lower anisotropy of mechanical properties in the manufactured elements. This means that the mechanical properties vary less in particular manufacturing directions compared to other thermoplastics intended for 3D printing. Elements made of PETG maintain stable properties for a long time.
Packaging
The filament is wound on a transparent, designer spool. The spool contains information about the type of material, diameter and recommended printing temperature. Each spool is vacuum packed with a moisture absorber. Paper user manual inside. All in the original foil-wrapped Spectrum Filaments box.
