Since its introduction to the market, the Airpulse A300 bookshelf loudspeaker has quickly attracted the attention and recognition of high-end audio connoisseurs. Performance thanks to crystal clear high frequencies, full and expressive mids and
lows have won the praise of many audio enthusiasts. But that was just the beginning! The spirit of Perfectionism in high-end audio has pushed us to continue striving to take this product to the next level.
The A300 Pro comes from our Airpulse A800 wooden horn loudspeaker, which was first presented to Electronics Show customers in 2019. It immediately attracted the attention of visitors and the news media, which are always on top
and are looking for something new and exciting. The A800’s unique design incorporates conventional cabling and wireless features into one system with ease and practicality.
The amplifier inside the A800’s left and right speakers is completely symmetrical to each other. They can be connected wirelessly to become a stereo system or to analog signals individually or in pairs. The coexistence of wireless technology
and wiring design eliminates the headache of wiring, and the wired analog input also provides enthusiasts with a platform on which to have fun!
The overwhelmingly positive response to the A800 inspired us to expand this unique idea into a more cost-effective model that fits the budget of most audio enthusiasts. We wanted to incorporate the acoustic design of the A800 level
and the electronic design in the A800 horn speaker, which creates a powerful shelf system with 6.5 woofers.
And so the Airpulse 300 Pro was born!

More information about the A300 Pro

The A300 Pro’s casing is finished in a conservatively elegant walnut veneer. Sonically, it has the same aluminum horn tweeter
but the improved 6.5-inch aluminum cone, low-distortion woofer of the A300. The cabinet depth has been increased to provide more extended low frequencies.
The power supply and amplifiers in the left and right speakers of the A300 Pro are completely symmetrical. Each speaker has a high-efficiency, low-ripple 150W switching power supply inside.
Using Texas Instrument’s TPA3251 digital power amplifier, each cabinet has no less woofer output power
120W and tweeter at 10W. The speakers also use the XMOS xCore200 multi-core processor and the TLV320AIC3268 digital processor from Texas Instruments.
The left and right speaker connection uses KleerNet wireless transmission technology. It uses Bluetooth Qualcomm QCC3031 series 5.0
chipset and supports the high-quality AptX HD codec, so Bluetooth technology can be used with minimal signal loss.
The A300 Pro case is constructed from high-strength 25mm MDF. To ensure the best signal transmission, we also selected renowned American,
TRANSPARENT indoor speaker cables.
The A300 Pro has wireless pairing and hard connection modes. In wireless mode, it includes AUX input, USB, optical fiber, coaxial and other
methods. In wired mode, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs can be used. The frequency response ranges from 40HZ to 40KHZ, which
supports playback from high-quality HI-RES audio sources and has obtained official HI-RES certification.

Ribbon tweeter with horn loading

Our unique aluminum ribbon horn tweeter design in the A300 Pro provides the audience with every corner of the wide space with airy and harmonious
pleasant high-frequency notes. Listeners experience rich, clear and evenly distributed high-frequency sound that does not decay with distance
.
The aluminum ribbon tweeter is characterized by an exceptionally light diaphragm. The ribbon acts as both a diaphragm and a voice coil
, one that has no output delay. Instead, it has instant transient response, large vibration area, small phase distortion and high sensitivity.
Arranging the sound field forward provides better axis shifting. The impedance of the aluminum strip is almost as constant as the DC impedance, leading to
a very high frequency response in the relevant range.
The carefully calculated horn shape modifies and optimizes the directivity of this aluminum tweeter. It provides high frequency distribution and
is consistent for all listeners regardless of their position. This even distribution mode is unaffected by reflections of signs in the room, so
high-frequency sounds are more clear and three-dimensional. The perfect combination of aluminum tweeter and horn provides the audience with
a new and unprecedented listening experience.

6.5-inch woofer with aluminum diaphragm and low distortion

The 6.5-inch A300 Pro woofer uses a durable magnesium-aluminum diaphragm and an expensive suspended magnetic circuit design. It is operated by
a 50 mm diameter voice coil and an oversized high energy magnet. Combined with a cleverly designed heat dissipation mechanism, this woofer has
the lowest distortion and highest levels of dynamics, delivering clean low frequencies that are rich in detail and deeply extended.
The die-cast aluminum housing provides strong structural support for the woofer. Effectively reinforced diaphragm made of an aluminum and magnesium alloy
reduces segmentation vibrations and ensures that virtually all sound details are fully revealed. The suspended voice with a 50MM diameter flat wire
coil combined with an enlarged neodymium iron boron magnet sandwiched between two thick steel plates provides dynamic force and a large magnetic gap that
produces a symmetrical and linear magnetic field. The motion of the voice coil is completely immersed in this magnetic field, which significantly reduces
harmonic distortion, resulting in excellent low-frequency performance. The combination of the voice coil and the aluminum diaphragm helps the coil
dissipate heat quickly. It creates an excellent heat dissipation system with a specially designed heat sink to reduce dynamic thermal compression and enables
the speaker to maintain high playback levels for a long time.
Meticulous design, precise craftsmanship and precise tuning using the KLIPPEL electro-acoustic analysis system all contribute to the extraordinary
dynamics and low distortion of the A300 Pro woofer, which are largely responsible for the excellent performance of the entire system.

Unique design

The A300 Pro has a symmetrical acoustic and electrical design. Both left and right speakers are active. Each is equipped with a built-in,
high-efficiency 150 W low-ripple switching power supply that maintains adequate power reserve for the amplifier’s transient high output power.
The class D amplifiers used inside the speakers are the top TPA3251 model from Texas Instruments. With a DSP-based electronic crossover, dedicated amplifiers
are used to independently drive the woofer and tweeter. The nominal output power of the bass channel for the left and right speakers is 120 W each and 10 W for each
ribbon tweeter. The system also features DSP-based dynamic range control to protect the ribbon tweeter.
In addition to the top-of-the-line audio components, the core signal processing is based on the XMOS xCore200 multi-core processor and the
TLV320AIC3268 DSP chip from Texas Instruments. XMOS xCore200 XU216 has a processing power of up to 2000 MIPS, and its parallel structure is
quite suitable for real-time signal processing such as high-resolution audio processing.
The Bluetooth audio receiver on the A300 Pro is built with Qualcomm’s QCC3031, which is a Bluetooth V5.0 chipset with high-fidelity AptX HD.
With a high-resolution audio source, the receiver can offer a much better audio experience than traditional Bluetooth SBC audio.
The A300Pro also offers a USB digital audio interface that supports UAC2 digital audio applications. An ASIO audio drive is available that enables Windows-based
users to have a high-quality, low-latency signal path, avoiding redundant operating system signal processing and possible loss of quality and dynamic range.
The USB audio interface supports audio sampling rates up to 192 kHz.
Wireless signal distribution between the left and right speakers is based on a proprietary microchip technology known as KleerNet. The radio is broadcast
over 5.2 GHz and 5.8 GHz, and with a radio bandwidth of 22 MHz, the technology guarantees lossless audio signal transmission. With our
proprietary synchronization technology, it ensures audio image positioning accuracy.
Another unique feature of the A300Pro is that in addition to the left and right wireless stereo used in pairs, it uses scenarios that can often be seen at home.
audio conditions, the system offers an independent left and right configuration, similar to traditional monitor speakers often used with
mixing consoles in recording studios.
In a dedicated sector on the rear panel of each speaker there is a combination of connectors and controls designed to work in this configuration,
just like a traditional monitor speaker. For signal input, there is one XLR connector and one unbalanced RCA connector with constant gain. The digital attenuator
is used to adjust the input sensitivity. There are two trimmers for color adjustment, one low and one high shelf. Each speaker acts
as an independently powered mono speaker that can be easily connected to a mixing console in your home studio.
In short, with high-quality, well-selected components and a carefully designed signal processing and amplification system, for both home and professional users, the
A300Pro takes a step forward in digital audio system design.

Wardrobe design

The cabinets’ construction of 25mm high-strength fiberboard with strategically placed internal stiffeners provides the foundation for sound quality. The cabinet is finished with walnut veneer and high-quality wood varnish. The classic and elegant aesthetic of the A300Pro cabinets makes it the perfect addition to any living room setup. The 25 mm thick cabinet walls not only provide strong support against vibrations, but also reduce resonance and coloration. The interior is also lined with professional wave-absorbing material with a thickness of 36 mm, improving the absorption of excess standing waves. The A300Pro case uses an inverted air vent. The elliptical inverted vent pipe with precise calculation reduces the airflow noise and further improves the sound quality.

TRANSPARENT speaker cable

No detail has been left unattended in the A300PRO. We selected the TRANSPARENT brand, USA-made internal interconnect cable, to ensure maximum signal transmission accuracy. TRANSPARENT cables have a long history and reputation for high fidelity and resolution. The use of TRANSPARENT cables further contributes to the impeccable performance of the A300Pro.
