Large 13.6mm DLC dynamic driver
The FH7S is equipped with the same dynamic driver as in the FH9 model – the second generation large 13.6 mm DLC driver developed by FiiO. The large 13.6mm diaphragm allows the driver to easily produce more energy for better, extended bass, resulting in solid yet natural-sounding low frequencies. The diaphragm of the FH7S dynamic transducer is made of DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon). Due to its highly damping nature, high stiffness and low weight, this dynamic driver is able to respond quickly to transients – further adding a dynamic bass experience that you will fully remember.
Four specially selected Knowles BA pickups
The collaboration between FiiO and Knowles aimed to create bespoke balanced-armature DFK midrange drivers for the FH7S – with the aim of creating natural, musical vocals by significantly improving the reproduction of the mid-range registers. By adjusting the air permeability of the midrange drivers, this leads to a more natural, distinctive and smoother blend between the bass, mids and highs. At the same time, vocals are clearer, more captivating and reproduced with appropriate richness. High frequencies are produced by the Knowles SWFK-31736 BA high resonant frequency transducer. The transducer contains richer high-frequency detail and is more airy, while helping to further increase the size of the soundstage, which is relaxed and comfortable to listen to.
Full comfort and unique design
FH7S has a structure reminiscent of futuristic armor, weapons, or machines found in the world of science fiction. The FH7S’s faceplate is covered with neat layers of carefully placed holes, stacked on top of each other, creating its semi-open design. They are combined with silver and gold finishes, as well as air discharge meshes, to achieve a meticulous balance between form and function. Finally, the FH7S still maintains an overall rounded shape that fits perfectly into the human ear, ensuring comfortable, extended listening sessions.
Excellent sound stage Second generation semi-open design
The FH7S uses the second-generation FiiO semi-open design to accurately reproduce the soundstage of your music. This semi-open design incorporates FiiO’s proprietary pressure balancing system between the front and rear chambers. As a result, as the drivers push air through the sound, there is less resistance to it, resulting in a smoother yet more detailed sound, natural timbre, a spacious soundstage, and precise imaging. The semi-open design also significantly reduces pressure on the eardrums, allowing you to listen for longer periods of time without fatigue, giving you the feeling of being in a concert hall without any headphones.
Unique notch filter technology
Using extensive analysis and numerous experiments, the development team created a unique notch filter for the FH7S. This type of filter precisely directs sound waves, eliminating unwanted resonances between the housing, the acoustic channel and the ear canal to suppress unwanted sibilants, resulting in detailed, transparent and yet non-fatigue-inducing sound.
Patented S.TURBO acoustic design
FiiO FH7S features the patented S.TURBO acoustic design, enabling deep bass that retains many nuances and textures. Sound waves are carefully guided through a turbine-shaped channel to amplify low frequencies, making the sounds of drum beats, for example, appropriately thunderous and bold.
Brand new FiiO ear tips
The FH7S are the first headphones to debut with FiiO’s all-new HS18 silicone ear tips. Thanks to the impressive efforts of engineers, the surface in contact with the ears is only 0.4 mm thick, which ensures better comfort and tightness. These new earbuds have a large opening, the same size as the FH7S sound tube, to minimize acoustic barriers between the earpiece and the eardrum – which reduces high-frequency loss and further improves resolution.
A new audio cable ready to provide new experiences
The FH7S comes standard with a cable consisting of 8 cores with 19 conductors in each conductor – giving a total of 152 silver-plated monocrystalline copper conductors, all individually insulated from each other. The Litz weave of the cables means that their larger surface area leads to lower resistance by minimizing skin and proximity effects, resulting in improved signal transmission efficiency and better resolution.
Replaceable twist-lock plugs
New to the FH7S, compared to the FH7, are interchangeable twist-lock audio plugs that allow you to easily change from single-ended 3.5mm plugs to balanced 4.4mm plugs when needed. Now you can enjoy a diverse audio world without problems.
