Enjoy a new way to interact with your favorite Nintendo character. When you touch the figure to the NFC point on the Wii U GamePad during a game, data is transferred to the game and you can use it in many ways. As you play, the data in your figure will update – you can continue playing and create your own unique amiibo! The first set of figures will be available for Smash Bros. on Wii U

Track your amiibo and its battle upgrades

In Super Smash Bros. on Wii U, you can transfer data from your amiibo figure directly into the game, and then you can fight it. Gradually during the fight, your amiibo will improve, gaining new skills and game attributes – such as greater strength or new moves. You can add your own enriched moves!

amiibo will go on sale with the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U with Mario, Link and more figures!

Join the game!

You can use amiibo figures in many other games – what style they will be used in will depend only on you! In the future, a series of many figures from different games will be released.

Compatible with Nintendo 3DS and 2DS

Amiibo figures can also be used on Nintendo 3DS and 2DS with an accessory planned for 2015. More details about software compatibility on Nintendo 3DS will be announced soon.
