SmartLav+  is a professional lapel microphone designed to work on film sets, in TV studios and during broadcasts. It is perfect for situations requiring high sound quality while maintaining discreet microphones, without the need to use additional complicated and expensive wireless equipment.

The smartLav+ user simply clips the microphone into place, connects it to a smartphone or tablet, and uses the RØDE Rec app for iOS or any other program to start recording.

smartLav+ uses a professional omnidirectional condenser capsule that responds to sound equally from all sides of the microphone, allowing for versatile installation and greatly simplifying work.

The sponge cover minimizes the sound of wind and the so-called plosives (“b”, “t” and “p”). The microphone is also equipped with a durable mounting clip with a cable holder. The microphone cable is reinforced with Kevlar® so it will never stretch or break under normal use.

The smartLav+ microphone works with any audio application that allows recording via a headset. However, it was designed to complement the RØDE Rec app for Apple iOS devices. RØDE Rec transforms any iOS device into a full-fledged portable recorder with a wide selection of equalizer settings for a variety of recording conditions. In addition, the program includes professional editing tools and the ability to publish to SoundCloud and Dropbox directly from the application.

The microphone only works with devices running iOS or Android.
